Import turnover of automobiles in Hai Phong is decreasing

According to the latest information from Hai Phong Customs Department, in April, the total import turnover of automobiles reached 95.2 million USD, an increase of 194.2% compared to the same period in 2018.

Specifically, automobile import turnover at the Department did not reach 100 million USD in April.

From March, the turnover of this commodity group at Hai Phong Customs Department has tended to decrease.

In February, turnover reached over 135 million USD, up nearly 20 million USD compared to January

But in March, turnover decreased to 102.8 million USD and in April turnover continued to decrease.

According to imported goods with tax at Hai Phong Customs Department, in April, the total turnover reached 1,605 billion USD, up 20.4% compared to the same period of 2018.

Machinery and equipment are the largest group which reached 486.7 million USD, contributing 30% of the total import turnover of tax of the Department in a month and increased by 41% compared to April 2018.

The second largest group is iron and steel with 219.6 million USD, down by 1.1% compared to the same period last year.

Some other import groups with impressive growth rates in Hai Phong Customs Department in April include: Automobile spare parts increased by 89.1%; motorcycles increased by 46.2%; motorbike spare parts increased by 45.5%; petroleum increased by 36.5%; alcohol increased by 27.9% ...
